Martinez Valle serves as a bilingual reporter for NBC10 and Telemundo62. You can catch him live Monday through Friday in the greater Philadelphia area on NBC10 and Telemundo 62. Miguel arrived at NBC10 and Telemundo62 in December 2017 and since then he has become an involved part of the community and has fallen in love with the Greater Philadelphia area and its people.
As a reporter, Miguel has had to report on difficult stories including the Uvalde shooting in 2022, the tragic Las Vegas shooting in 2017, and the Parkland shooting in 2018. The shooting itself was painful to cover, however, the aftermath, watching the community pull together to donate blood, give funds, and comfort each other was truly inspiring. Miguel has also been lucky to travel for some historic celebrations, such as the 2023 Eagles Super Bowl run, and the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
Before joining NBC10, Miguel worked for two years as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KVVU-TV in Las Vegas. Before this, he was a reporter/anchor at HOM-TV and a reporter at Univision Las Vegas / KINC-TV, the government-access television station in Okemos, Michigan. Miguel also has experience of being hired in radio as a reporter and producer for WDBM-FM in East Lansing, Michigan.
Miguel has been honored with a Pacific Southwest Emmy® award for his coverage of the 2016 Presidential Debate in Las Vegas, and recently several Mid-Atlantic Emmys for his job with the NBC10 and Telemundo62 team. He has also been voted on several 40 under 40 lists by different Philadelphia publications.
Born in Guaymas, Mexico, Miguel is passionate about immigration, LGBTQ issues, and developing positive minority representation on television. He is now acting as the co-lead for OUT@NBCUniversal in Philadelphia and as the President of the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
