Paul serves as the co-anchor of the 5 p.m. show “What’s Now” at WKYC (Channel 3) in Cleveland, Ohio.  She returned home to Northeast Ohio after spending two decades at CNN. While there, she hosted programs on HLN, with appearances on Morning Express along with Robin Meade. Christi also served for nine years as the weekend anchor for CNN’s New Day.

While there, she covered President Obama’s second Inauguration in Washington, DC, the GOP Convention in 2016 in Cleveland, and was on the news desk walking viewers through the first 5 hours of the Virginia Tech shooting and the Newtown, CT school shootings.  Christi also covered extensive coverage of several presidential elections, court cases, and Hurricane Sandy, such as the Drew Peterson, Warren Jeffs, Casey Anthony, and Dr. Conrad Murray trials. She also secured an exclusive interview with Joe Biden, the Vice President, talking about his incentive to combat domestic violence and addressing the problems with Obamacare.

Besides being an anchor, Christi has a love for supporting children and teens. She once operated on the Advisory Board for Robin McGraw’s “When Georgia Smiled” foundation which aids victims of domestic violence and assault to find safety, healing, and joy. She also acted on the National Advisory Council for the One Love Foundation in recognition of Yeardley Love, the University of VA Lacrosse participant battered to death by her boyfriend, and is engaged with Girl Talk Inc., an institution where high school girls mentor middle school girls to assist build self-esteem and combat bullying.

Weary of simply having to inform viewers of news stories about kids who are missing, Christi took steps to help, founding “Find Our Children”… an association with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Kids in Washington, DC. HLN hosted a feature about a missing child, asking viewers to assist find them and to date, more than 35 of the kids they’ve profiled have been brought home safe and sound.

Before working at HLN in 2003, Christi served as a weathercaster, anchor, and consumer reporter in Phoenix. She first joined KNXV, then CNN affiliate KTVK, where she commenced a segment with the Arizona Humane Society which helped hundreds of dumped animals find new homes with families in the valley. Before relocating to Phoenix, Christi was an anchor and reporter for KTVB in Boise, ID, where the Idaho Press Club recognized her for her series of stories about Julianne Prudhomme, a 4-year-old girl who underwent a 5-organ transplant. In 2012, NCMEC also recognized Christi with their prestigious Hope Award…an award she shares with previous winners such as actor Ben Affleck, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, and then-Senator Joe Biden.

Christi commenced her journalism career as a one-man band (anchor reporter and photographer) in Clarksburg, WV at WDTV. A graduate of the University of Toledo, the Department of Communications has appointed her an “Outstanding Alumni”. You can name her “Dr. Paul” by the way, as she was honored with an honorary doctorate when she presented the beginning speech for the University.

Besides being a journalist, Christi is an author whose book “Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt”, speaks regarding overcoming verbal and emotional abuse, which immediately hit Amazon’s top 20. In Nashville, Christi also videoed two songs that coincide with the book. She also has performed onstage alongside Grammy winners David Foster and Richard Marx as well as singing the National Anthem for NBA and MLB games for the Atlanta Braves, the Cleveland Guardians, the Cleveland Cavs, and the Arizona Diamondbacks among others.
