Nevertheless, Bria is familiar with the Midwest and cold weather since previously, she served as a reporter/fill-in anchor in Flint, Michigan where she extensively reported on crime and city government. She also took tough audience questions to city hall in a bi-weekly show titled “Ask The Mayor.”
Bria joined Fox 6 News from her hometown market in Memphis, TN where she reported on the city’s aggressive breaking news cycle, earning her a nomination for the city’s “Best Reporter.” Also, she was a part of award-winning coverage for the “Memphis Shooting Rampage” where WREG-TV earned first place in Large Market — Best Coverage of Breaking News from the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters.
Before that, Bria worked for two years as a multimedia journalist in Northeast Louisiana. She commenced her professional broadcast career in Memphis developing her news judgment as a digital associate producer.
Bria also is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and presently serves on the Broadcast Task Force Executive Board for the National Association of Black Journalists.
